A tight, tense and sporting match play final was played out today. The final was between Declan McDonald (17) and Karl Harper(26).
It was a close match throughout with the match being levelled seven times and neither being more than 1 up at any stage. It was a typical match play that swayed from tee to green on many holes and both standing up to the pressure to sink important putts as the finish line approached. Karl Harper eventually won out on the 19th green. Congratulations to Karl on his victory and also to Declan for his big contribution and effort in the final.

Special praise must go to tournament referee Ben Finlay in organising this year?s match play and for it finishing on time (for once).
Ben has set the mark for the future. Well done to Niall and his team for having the course in fine condition.
